back in melb

well, i'm now sitting at my living room with my fleece blanket over me (its freezing!) as i use the sch's wireless internet. i suspended my dial-up internet for the month of july cause i think its not worth it to pay for internet the whole month just for the last few days of usage in july. it's lucky that my apt faces the sch so i can use the uni's wireless. but then again, it means having to sit at the living room where it is so cold! ohhh well. was quite upset about the internet thing, but sighh, there's nothing that i can do anyways.

dent camp last weekend was just super duper rowdy. lots of drinking and crazy games. lol, and it's the first time i drank till i became a bit tipsy. at least its better than those seniors who were dead drunk. sometimes it makes me really wonder whats wrong with these pple... the seniors drank volka as if they were drinking water. lol.

i realised that my timetable for this sem is not as bad as it seems, esp since i managed to get exemption for part of a subject. but i hope i don't start slacking. i need to continue to work hard (: quite surprised at my grades for last sem. it was better than i expected (cause i seriously thought i would fail the dent subject). i'm really thankful that my results came out fine. love all those who gave me so much encouragement and support - esp my family <3 , yuting, shu yi and amy!

been feeling kind of busy during the week that has just ended. i've been running/rushing to many places. [and oh my, i was super late for the second MLE lecture today. heng there's yuan qi to chope a seat for me.]

p.s i shall make this post a light-hearted one [not that i'm done with all the confused feelings, its just that i want to make myself less miserable].

i met up with yuting for a short lunch on weds cause i wanted to pass her her v belated present. really feel bad ok. but its something REALLY special [to me, at least]. i don't do this for anyone so yuting really should feel honoured. ha.

this is the cheesecake baked by me. =D was proud of myself that i did not use an electric beater (cause i couldn't find it), meaning i beat it manually! and everything was done in 2 hours. hurray. oh, but the edges aren't trimmed v nicely cause my slicing skills weren't good. but anyway, v glad that yuting likes it <3.



choon chuan actually said it looked like kaya toast. =S i told chongren proudly that i BAKED a cheesecake cause he thinks that i made the simple cheesecake (those that need not be put into the oven. just refrigerate it can already.) whatever la. but of course it cannot be compared to the one he makes.

engin oweek I

i'm back from oweek. tired once again.
thinking if i should update about oweek now since i have some time to spare. ok maybe i should.

some things that happened during camp (in order - day 1 to day6):

#1 yongqiang sat beside me during the group intro on day1 and i thought he really looked like huang qing lun (the smaller version). and he sings really well (he's from rj choir btw). i think he's really amusing - his expression, his actions, his special skill (ROFL) etc. the intro session was kind of funny. i've got an ogl whose name is deddy (yup, its the same pronounciation as daddy - seamus was saying that he couldn't bear calling him that. HAHHAA)

#2 oh (before i forget), i'm from apache. we are kind of lousy at games (losing anything and everything we could) but we really enjoyed the company.

#3 we are always doing the same cheer (the one where we have to hit people's (station masters) heads) okay, we are mean.

#4 went for FIC (freshmen inauguration ceremony). quite interesting to see the profs dressed in some harrypotter outfit (their formal attire).

#5 stayed over the night before flag (cause it was v late after night walk). and went off in the morning (5plus). thanks to my dad who fetched me home =D

#6 and talking about night walk, well... it was not that bad. eddie promised me that it wouldn't be scary (not another fright night) but there was a component called fear factor. its scary (at least for me). and funshen (my nightwalk partner - some guy from monbi) said he would be frightened too. i was like huh! if u scared, then i howw?

#7 v sorry for pangseh-ing shuyi for flag. but heard the kbox session after flag was fun. aaron was singing some hokkien song which amused everyone there.

#8 wed was sentosa day. went for driving in the morning before joining the rest at siloso. driving was really cool (but i kind of lost touch after not having lessons for 1 week and so i was really bad on the road) cause i got back my old instructor - the easy-to-bully, teach v well and fast, and funny instructor. he was laughing when i said i was going to sentosa for orientation after driving. errm, like what's so funny.

#9 didn't missed out much when i reached sentosa (after helping to buy bananas at vivo for apache) cause the games haven't started. games were fun but most of the time, we had to get wet. the waves were kind of huge and i felt as if i would be swept away. so scary. saw some group doing some forfeit/task and i thought this person was really funny/cute. ok, i'm burnt from sentosa.

#10 shuyi left from sentosa during evening. so i was the only girl left. didn't want to stay overnight for that reason. but cause i didn't want to trouble my dad to fetch me home and back to nus the next day (besides i've got my stuff for stayover).

#11 after mass dance, we went for supper (hui xiang, feodo, seamus, sean, yuanqi and me).i ate the same amount (2 pratas) as the guys. and seamus kept saying that i eat a lot. and think he told that to others who didn't go for supper. that's like so mean of him.

#12 thurs was external hunt. but i didn't go cause i went with jo for the ChESS oday. oh my, thought the talk by the seniors made me feel demoralised. and i'm starting to feel stressed already. =( =( =(

#13 played games in the group we were assigned. our group was flooded with hc guys. during the introduction, everyone went "i'm _______, i'm from hwa chong" etc. and oliver and ken were from my sis's og for chess camp. that's like so coincidental. the hc guys were funny but thanks to them, we won every game. =D had some super boring talk after that (which seriously wasn't useful).

#14 wanted to join apache at vivo but jo,wen rong, mathangi and chongren said don't go cause anyway they would be coming back soon. and so we sat down and talk. the conversation was v crappy and i felt really tired after that (cause i was using a lot of strength pushing chongren away from the rest so he would not say any untrue stuff...-_-) and jo wasn't helpful at all. really felt so bullied ok!but seriously, i couldnt care much cause its so not true.

#15 joined apache when they came back. dinner was really good. there's like people cooking takopachi and tempura prawns on the spot. but my stomach felt really uncomfortable cause of some forfeit in the afternoon(having to eat this big lump of wasabi) so i couldn't eat much.

#16 next was finale night. too shagged by then. spent most of the time stoning.

#17 had oyster gathering at chongren's room at PGP. played saboteur/poker cards overnight. had to drink whenever we lost. but shuyi and i didn't drink so much - cause the guys helped us to drink - thanks guys! think some had too much and were a bit drunk - like john. haha. had only 1+ hour of sleep before we went to meet apache for breakfast.

#18 went for rag. saw quite a number of old friends around. rag was quite cool but the weather's super hot.

#19 and after rag, we (shuyi, seamus, choon chuan and me) shared a cab home. okay, seamus stays at serangoon gardens. so near my house. and he drives to sch. hhahaa.so he better knows what to do.

overall oweek was great. made more friends than during engin camp.
